MURFREESBORO — Attitude. Belief. Confidence.
Those A-B-C buzzwords are the mindset for Webb School as the Lady Spartans seek a third consecutive Division II-A state volleyball championship Friday at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
Webb’s 3-0 victory over Harding Academy on Thursday at Siegel High School set the stage for either a third consecutive state championship or a unfathomable upset of the pre-tournament favorite.
“We knew we would be the favorite team to win, coming in. We’ve known all season we would have a really good chance to defend our title,” said Webb coach Chris Hames.
The Spartans (52-4) will again meet Harding Academy (22-4) — which eliminated St. Georges 3-0 — for the title on Friday at 10 a.m. Eastern.
