The Southern Festival of Books

What a marvelous event this was, an incredible learning experience for me personally. The Southern Festival of Books was held Oct. 11-13 at Legislative Plaza in downtown Nashville. I shared the Author’s Circle booth with these fine local authors:

Nanette Avery
Leah Bailey
Tom Collins
Parnell Donahue, M. D.
Craig Fiebiger
Stephen Hines
Leo Kennedy
Judith Kittredge
Steve Kubicek
Kelly Lynne
Bill Peach
Kathy Rhodes
Carole Webb Slater
Janie Wells

Between us, we covered a diverse span of genres, and I would encourage support for their works.

I am looking forward to even greater participation in the 2014 Southern Festival of Books. I did introduce a session for author Trish Foxwell (A Visitor’s Guide to the Literary South), did a radio/podcast interview and, perhaps coolest of all, found out that Vendetta Stone is now in the Nashville Public Library system — and that there’s already a wait list.

My next scheduled event is the Dec. 14-15 Dickens of a Christmas in downtown Franklin. If you would like me to host or speak at event in the coming weeks, feel free to contact me.

Thanks, and Happy Reading!
